Waterfalls, lakes, rivers and streams of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park
Water is the defining element of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. The flow of the rivers, the mirror-like lakes reflecting the surrounding nature, and the powerful waterfalls all characterise the landscape of the Adamello Presanella range and the Brenta Dolomites. The park is home to 48 lakes: 44 lie on the Adamello side, where the rocky composition favours their formation, while the other 4 are rare, unique gems that adorn the Dolomites. The most famous are, in Val Genova, the Nardis, Lares and Matarot waterfalls; in Vallesinella, the Mezzo and Alte waterfalls, beloved by Empress Sissi; while the Amola waterfall is a marvel hidden in the woods of Val Nambrone.

The Adamello Presanella mountain range
Val Rendena is set within a unique and extraordinary natural landscape: to the east, the imposing Brenta Dolomites; to the west, the granite peaks of the Adamello and Presanella ranges. The whole area forms Trentino's largest protected area, the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, a true paradise of biodiversity with countless species of flora and fauna. The Adamello-Presanella group is a realm of ice and water. The Presanella mountains have 7 glaciers, while the Trentino side of the Adamello has 17, including the Mandrone glacier, the largest in the Italian Alps.

Castles and Museums of Trentino
Trentino has more than 300 castles, fortified sites and strongholds — a region whose particular morphology allowed so many fortresses to grow and develop. Stories and Legends of Val Rendena
Val Rendena is rich with stories and legends that echo Nordic cycles and reveal memories from the early Middle Ages. Among the tales: the monster of Lake Nambino, the bread of Mortaso that stopped rising after the murder of St. Vigilius, the Volpàt of Lake Ritorto, the Jew of Pelugo executed by Charlemagne, treasures guarded by spirits or the devil, the resin gatherer, witches said to be seen on the night of Epiphany, the exploits of the "league of the bold", the sorceress of Nardis who taught shepherds to make cheese, and the ritual-allegorical tradition tied to the Christian celebrations of Christmas, Epiphany and Holy Week.
